Captains Log, star date 01-27-09 in the year of our Lord

Guys, Gals, Fans, Friends!

Sorry for being so.....silent....these days!

When I find my photo cable I will show you guys what's been "popping" these days in my kitchen...and office....etc.

It's tax time and that is always stressful for me. Not only do we play catch up during this
time, but to add to that all the other facets of life, a new business, a new website, new involvements at church, old renters out of rent house, new renters into new house, and the associated drama of all that....and...new puppies!!!!!! Alas, the cable has disappeared.....

I have been waking up anywheres between 2 - 5 AM everyday......hence, going to bed
around 8.......

Other than that, making great headway on business plan, website, fragrance listing,,,but still so
much to do........so much, so much!!!

OK, i popped my head out long enough to update, so now back to work.

Hopefully in the next few days, there will be new pics of new puppies. Valentines goodies coming too! Just got some Love Spell, Pink, Very Sexy Men, Very Sexy Women, Endless Love, Dream Angels, Rapture, Angel, all VS dupes. So, friends....stay tuned!

All my love to all of you who have encouraged me, have visited this blog, commented, gave imput, said you would be product testers, tasters, and advised me. You are so special to me and I am contunually thankful to each and every one of you!

Sam, you are the best! And because of you, I have new hope and much needed courage and strength! Thank you!

2 hours later.....well, I found the cable and uploaded all kinds of stuff from my little camera.! Wow! 84 pics in the last few weeks! Upon reviewing the items, my heart filled with gratefulness of the chronicle that unfolded with the screenplay...... thus an addendum to this Captains Star Date log, and I will name it...

new life!!!!!!!!

first the eagles......... first sited on 01-04-09

Then, my darling friends who I love and treasure like the closest of family, saved, baptized, added to the Body of Christ and going full force for God!

then last saturday, the little "fatlings" were born.......boop boop boop! boop!boop! here is kitten this am holding them: taken just this morning......

So, my friend, it is my aim to always have an encouraging word for you! That you will find this blog to be not only funny, dry, colorful, crazy; but also informative, encouraging and full of enthusiasm for Life itself in all His facets of beauty, wonder, wisdom and awe.
In the midst of your struggles, faint not, my friend, for to him to sows, and endures and faints not, there will be a harvest for every seed you sow into the ground. This is the Year of the Favor of Our Lord! Be encouraged, and Faint Not! For to him who overcomes, that person will eat of the tree of life, and great grace and favor will be your outcome....even in drought and famine, says the Lord of Hosts!
Until we meet again!

Plan Your Work - and Work Your Plan!

Hello Everybody!

It has been at least one week since my last post. I was having a bit too much fun, my husband
informed me! Actually, he is right----I really, Really, REALLY enjoy my blog! And I hope you do too! It's the right thing to do if you have a business....or even if you have a life!

Since the Eagles landed, I have been monitoring them intensely. We do not leave our house without cameras in tote! Wednesday last week, there were two, and I think they were mates.

Then, they disappeared for a few days, and now they're back! I am so excited because it seems they have laid stake to my neighborhood as their new territorial haunt. I am convinced all this has meaning.......

Anyways, I have not "played" on this blog because I have been in earnest about writing my business plan. Each and every day I have stuck to a systematic plan in vision writing, and sequentially laying out my course for this calendar year. I have not played in my kitchen at all. I have not created anything. Just writing, and trying to be a business woman who also crafts for a living. Truth be told, it is way more fun the other way around, but it has to be done this way.

I am quite pleased with what is on paper so far, and if any of you care to be my "angels" in the future, please let me know and I will share with you so you can keep me accountable.

Mainly I posted today, because my no. two goal that also needs to be S.M.A.R.T. is to get my website fully functional by March 1st. this year. Did I really write that?

S.M.A.R.T. means goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, reasonable, and time sensitive.

I am at this point a little downcast and so I am blogging for relief. I did, today, manage to upload an old fragrance listing onto my website. It needs updating, but at least something is on there.

My friend, may all your plans succeed this year and let us all together work to Plan our Work and Work our Plan!

You know, I always want to have something upbeat and encouraging to share with you my reader. But right at this moment in time, I am really frustrated. It seems that this software that I have chosen to bear my image on the WorldWideWeb was written by a....MAN. And, that man, like most, speaks Mandarin while I, on the other hand, and the other side of the universe, the other side of the brain and the ecosystem, speaks japanse. I want so badly to chuck it out the window and start afresh because I just do not understand the software...... but the investment has been made and I need grace or.....a webmaster who can work pro bono.

Please pray for me friend today! And I will also do the same for you.

OK, more later. Gotta go pick up my kitten at school

the eagles have landed........

Well, hello again everyone! It has been a hearty 10 days since our last post. I promised my family that I would not work for one week. I was so tired that I almost became ill. So, I rested, and slept, and rested, and played with my "kitten" and enjoyed the downtime immensely. It was a quiet peaceful week. So needed and I enjoyed time with family and friends! Cleaned a veritable 2/3 of my kitchen; washed countless loads of laundry, and relished the peace and beauty it brought to my soul.
I have to share this with you! Usually there is this beautiful golden hawk, and he is always sitting, facing either north or south on the telephone wires that run along the highway entrance to my subdivision. He is beautiful, and kitten and I have affectionately named him "Watchman" as he looks like a lone sentry.

Today, after church and lunch with some dear friends, kitten and I were driving home. At the front of our subdivision is a pasture, and on the pasture, a stream-fed pond. Usually there might be a blue heron from the nearby lake or a few other birds. But today there was a HUGE bird, and he was just sitting by the pond.

I stopped, rolled down the window, squinted, and said to kitten: "That can't be a.........?"Just then another lady in a big truck raced up, rolled down her window, and began shooting a picture with her i-phone. I said to her, "is that an ........?" "Bald eagle? Why, yes it is! My kids saw it earlier and sent me to take a picture!"

Just then, my neighbors from across my street pulled up and saw the exact same thing, and we both raced home to get our cameras and started shooting these pictures.

The curious thing is, EVERYBODY noticed! We tracked that eagle for almost an hour; ran out of film. got caught in barbed wire fences chasing it down, and it alluded our close up view like it was playing with us.

His wing span was yep, what they say; a good 6 feet and he was majestic in flight.

I still think it is a sign or that God has chosen to speak to us in a special way.

I have always loved this bird and imagined myself flying like him.

Even in our worship service this AM we sang a song about it.......

Mama, what would you say?

Shine in 2009, my friend, and as you do, SOAR FOR MORE!!!!!!
