The Day After....Behind the Scenes

Here are some pictures of what my kitchen looks like today. After the party. It was a great success and alot alot of fun. I do believe alot will come out of it. Several school teachers were there who want to help me promote my products at their schools for corporate gift programs. A cheerleader who stated her school is looking for a fundraiser, a bride to be who is excited about wedding favors, and close friends who encouraged me and were excited about my "refill candle" program as an environmental measure. Every guest filled out an feedback sheet and signed up for my email newsletter permission list, and I do feel more parties are coming! So, it is worth the mess and I think I worked harder than I ever have. I see where I can make improvements and next time will be even better.
Labels still need a little tweaking but they are looking good. And a friend of mine got so excited about my Original Fragrance Blend #1.....I called it Siam Sunrise. Stay tuned for more infomation about this exciting breakthrough which is more in line with my original vision for Cassia Candle & Fragrance!
But meanwhile, I need to spend time with my Kitten, and since there is no food in my house and I am tired and even if I wasn't, there is not a square inch of counter space in my 16x40 kitchen to make anything......so, I am outta here and going to go have some Mexican Food and recharge a little.
And, then, back to float in the pool and recharge sufficiently to be able to finally......
Clean Cassia's Kitchen!
Until next time, Au Revoir, mes amis extraordinaire!
Ciao!

A Penitent Heart

So guys, here is the Deal:

Previously, in http://multi%20tasking%20is%20a%20misnomer;%20aka%20shop%20vacs%20are%20wonderful!/ TASKING IS A MISNOMER; aka shop vacs are wonderful! you will see that I basically
am a failure at multi tasking. especially as I age somewhat. OK, there, I said it.

So, here it is: now that tax day has come and gone, and the angels are singin in heaven, and the stress of being behind is behind me, HalleLuJah! I will be posting more often. Not as prolifically as some I know and admire: yablonski , or soap queen, yet, more frequently.

As much as we are maligned by people with "real jobs" (they do not have a clue, by the way)
this is the smart thing both business wise and because as Jessica says, most of her friends live
IN the internet, so social networking is not overrated.

Nonetheless. I must be inspired, whether by expediency or by a fleeting whimsy, or by the things that trouble, or inspire me.

All this a very rough way of saying, I am on the onramp and ready to go. So stay tuned and I so welcome and love anyone who wants to be in my readership! Thanks for being my friend and I appreciate you so! Happy Friday to you my friend!

The things that I want to accomplish, and you are most welcome to keep me accountable on this are: I) personally, 1)tithe of my time and resources into the kingdom of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 2) get my house and office in order 3) plant some flowers outside and weed my beds, 3) execute my pest control of premises II) financially, execute the instructions in Dave Ramsey's FPU, together with my spouse III) start working out (yuck)(dancing would be my pick...not boring and very fun and energizing IV) continue to execute the business plan drafted in January of this year. Projects include: selling to local retailers, continuing to trouble shoot labels, continuing to strive for branding and beautiful packaging, continue to photograph and upload products to website, implementing a new bathroom trio, soapmaking and bath and body to supplement candle and perfume line.

Is that enough? You betcha! Because I am also a mom, a wife, a neighbor, a citizen, and a very busy member of a local congregation where I participate and serve in my realm of giftings and responsibilities in excess of 4 nights a week. Oh, and I almost forgot....I DO have a day job: i run and administrate for my husband a construction office M-F 8-5 and sometimes beyond. How is that for a "stay at homer" as they say?

CAN YOU TELL WHO'S WHO?

We're putting together fun gifts for our vendors. Soapy gifts... on TwitPic
ANNE MARIE, I LOVE YOU. AT LEAST THERE IS SOME HOPE THAT ALL THIS MADNESS AND CREATIVITY MIGHT POSSIBLY PAY OFF. I FEEL SO TWISTEDLY VALIDATED. WHAT WOULD MARTHA SAY?
I JUST WOKE UP ON THE COUCH. DROOL HAD DRIED IN THE CORNERS OF MY GAPING OPEN MOUTH. EYES SIMILAR, BLOODSHOT AND TEARY FROM OVER USE. JUST 36 HOURS TILL TERRI'S PARTY AND STILL SO MUCH TO DO. OUCH. WHAT TO DO?
GO TO BED OR KEEP GOING?

well, here you have it, not exactly the Betty Crocker test kitchen where you see laboratory clad workers all in white in clinical conditions. Or, not the ladies from the Reynolds wrap kitchen whre you see Betty testing her aluminum foil vs. the competitors. We won't even mention Martha Stewart's kitchen. But we don't live in Martha's Vineyard either!
Before turkey etc, this is going to all get boxed up and put away only to be dragged out again in two days. I cannot wait!
If I don't talk to you guys before, have a Wonderful Thanksgiving with all your loved ones!
