Saturday in the Kitchen

Well, top of the mornin' to ya! I love this "green" page! Irish, you know!

Well I've been a real busy bee and the madness is starting to get to me.

When I finally get to knowing how to do it, I will video my kitchen which has been

turned "manufacturing" facility... I have fragrances on one counter, a

photo "studio" on the breakfast table, it has my "spring line" in it. Photos turned

out satisfactory, if not professional. My island has a mixture of paint, pouring

post, dyes, wicks, hot glue guns, glassware, fragments of ribbon, "pie crusts", a

crystal goblet full of tiny ornaments, chopsticks for stirring, molds, a set of keys.


And, here I am sitting in my bathrobe, again, with laptops at the other table. There

are boxes full of glass, jars, closures, bottles, tottles, everywhere.

I don't see the point of wasting my time each day when it took me 3 1/2 hours to

clean up 2/3 of my kitchen last Saturday. I had practiced "whipping cream" for my

"pies" all day long. The first time was beginner's luck. The second time I had

actually gone out and purchased professional cake decorating bags, tips, etc.

I had melted, scented, colored and cooled a batch of soy wax. I had whipped it to

the desired consistency of cream cheese frosting. I had managed, somehow, to cram it into the bag. But when I put a squeeze on it, it kept coming out the top of the bag like a voluptious woman in a dance hall. (was that too riske?)

So, I repeated this step once, twice, thrice, and finally, voila! I had cute little whipped cream "dollops" that actually looked professional~! But then Batman
came home, hungry, and I had to come out of my altar ego reality and enter the consummate drudgery of cook and chief bottlewasher. Alas, only one of my four desired objectives was accomplished that day. My greasy little fingers, however, retained the "whipped cream" fragrance and hence, another project was born, "whipped cream body butta", sure to be a best seller!

but when, oh when will i get the time!

keep it simple stupid. sage advice i fail to heed over and over and over again.

Mission today:

finish Spring 09 fundraiser brochure
work on product catalog
order victoria secret dupe fragrance for briana ruvalcaba's friends
clean kitchen.....again....how boring!
make a couple more photos for fundraiser brochure
compile christmas brochure
order silicone moulding supplies
rummage or scrape up something to eat for dinner

is that enough?

will be asleep on the couch by 8PM for sure!
